Sunil Kumar Sharma represents the Chair of Rail Vehicle Technology
Today, the Dean of the "Friedrich List" Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, Prof. Regine Gerike, welcomed the new Chair of Rail Vehicle Engineering. Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma has been deputy head of the chair since the beginning of February until the end of the year, when a new appointment to the professorship is to be made.
Sunil Kumar Sharma has been made available from his current position as Assistant Professor in Engineering and Applied Science at the Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya University in Vadodara, Gujarat (India). He successfully completed his PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee on the topic "Modeling and Analysis of Indian Rail Vehicles." He then moved to Changwon National University (South Korea) as a postdoc. Sunil Kumar Sharma specializes in rail vehicle dynamics and wheel-rail contact, on which he publishes regularly. He also works on topics related to railroad infrastructure and is an Editorial Board Member of "Railway Sciences" (Emerald).
