Studying at the Chair of Air Transport Technology and Logistics
The Chair of Air Transport Technology and Logistics is responsible for the diploma's programme "Transport Engineering" in the department of "Transportation System Engineering and Logistics" with the main subject of air transportation as well as students in the bachelor’s programme “Mobilität und Verkehrssysteme” and participants in the master’s programme “Luftverkehr und Logistik” and “Air Transport and Logistics”. In addition, numerous students of aerospace engineering, computer science, economics, and transportation economics regularly attend our courses.

Study opportunities
As part of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences "Friedrich List," the Institute of Logistics and Aviation with the chair of Air Transport Technology and Logistics, the chair of Traffic Flow Science, and the chair of Helicopter Technologies is responsible for the submission of a high rate of the study contents for the following study programs:
- Diploma's programme "Verkehrsingenieurwesen" in the field of study "Transport System Technology and Logistics" with the focus on "Air Traffic" (expiring)
- Master's programme "Luftverkehr und Logistik" (expiring)
- Bachelor's programme "Mobilität und Verkehrssysteme"
- Master's programme "Air Transport and Logistics"
The lectures mainly focus on the technological basics of an aircraft, its engines, and the characteristics of its operational environment. Furthermore, the study program includes method- and process-oriented expertise in safety and security, airport operations, airline management, flight planning and surveillance, air traffic control, and network management.
Thanks to the existing ERASMUS+ agreements of the professorship with prestigious universities in other European countries, this optional program may further improve the capabilities gained at the IFL!
