Contact and how to get to Dresden
By Train
As RailDresden is a conference about railroad engineering, we believe that we should be leading by example and attend the conference by train. Dresden is well-connected and accessible by national high-speed train as well as international long distance or night trains.
All of Germany’s important cities and most cities in neighboring countries can be reached easily by train.
ICE high-speed trains run bi-hourly to Frankfurt via Leipzig and Erfurt.
EC international trains run bi-hourly to Hamburg via Berlin and to Prague. Budapest is served transfer-free once daily.
The Euronight and Nightjet trains run between Dresden and Vienna, Budapest, and Graz every night.
Three times weekly, European Sleeper operates night trains from Brussels and Amsterdam to Dresden.
By Airplane
Dresden has a small airport that only sees flights to a few destinations. If you prefer to arrive by plane, it is recommendable to book a flight to Berlin or Frankfurt. Both airports feature regular direct trains from the airport to Dresden and offer flights to various cities in Europe.
