"Unternehmerisches Handeln" honored with the GFF Teaching Award 2024
Since 1995, the Society of Friends and Supporters of TU Dresden
e. V. (GFF) has been awarding a prize for outstanding achievements and special commitment to teaching. Last year, the competition was aimed at teaching formats from the 2023/2024 academic year whose design or implementation involved non-university learning locations. Helene Müller and Nicholas Bost were awarded the GFF Teaching Prize 2024 for the course "Unternehmerisches Handeln".
With the seminar in the "Unternehmerisches Handeln" module, the Chair aims to teach the practical aspects of entrepreneurial action based on real challenges faced by start-ups. The focus is on a close exchange with the founders as well as an intensive examination of the companies and their products, including excursions to the start-ups' offices and laboratories.
The GFF explains the selection of the seminar, which was nominated for the prize by students, as follows: "The high practical orientation of the course, combined with the opportunity to get to know network partners in the region at an early stage, convinced the jury to award this course with the teaching prize." The teaching award is endowed with prize money of 4,000 euros and was presented at the award ceremony on January 15, 2025.
