The Annual Meeting of the Research Group Digital Health: Generation Alpha Paves the Way

Jahrestreffen der Forschungsgruppe Digital Health
Yesterday's annual meeting of the Research Group Digital Health was significantly influenced by the theme of "Generation Alpha Digital Health Solutions." This theme, based on the group's paper of the same name, was at the center of all discussions and presentations. It refers to a new type of health technology designed to overcome previously insurmountable obstacles in healthcare. The "Digital Health Generation Alpha" is characterized by its ability to meet requirements for information, communication, and interoperability that have so far posed obstacles throughout the entire care process.
The annual meeting provided a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences about these exciting developments. Guest speakers included Alexander Krauß, the Techniker Krankenkasse's state representative in Saxony, who gave an interesting impulse on the topic of the electronic patient record, and Dr. Karsten Wendt from the Chair of Software Technology at TU Dresden, who illuminated the "Myth of AI."
Participants, who were mainly project partners, colleques from the faculty, students and former members of the group, had the opportunity to have intensive discussions over coffee, cake, and snacks before continuing with project presentations from the research group. Topics such as patient-centeredness, personalization of information systems, health portals, and virtual coaches were presented and discussed.
The annual meeting of the Digital Health Research Group once again highlighted the dynamic development of this sector. With the challenges and opportunities of the Generation Alpha Digital Health Solutions, the landscape of healthcare is continuously shaped and redefined. Against this backdrop, the Digital Health Research Group is pleased to further drive the digital transformation of healthcare with its multitude of projects.
