B CUBE and DZNE celebrated Open House Day
On 10 April, the two research institutes B CUBE and DZNE Dresden invited to a joint Open House Day in their recently completed building at Tatzberg. Around 150 guests from neighbouring scientific institutions and other institutes of the Dresden University of Technology introduced themselves to the new building during the hourly guided tours and used the event for networking.
The constructional and architectural features of the building were one of the main topics: For example, the institutes are equipped with extremely low-vibration foundations and ceilings for the use of highly vibration-sensitive research equipment such as electron and laser microscopes. The new building offers an area of approx. 5700 m², which is divided equally between B CUBE and DZNE. The building offers laboratories, seminar rooms and offices for a total of around 325 employees.
