As for the next speaker, we are honored to welcome professor Dr. Alexander Blum, MPI group leader at the Institute for the History of Science (Berlin) who will be presenting insights from his research on the history of the search for a theory of everything.
Prof Alexander Blum (Group leader at MPI-Final theory program, professor at FU Berlin department of physics and history of science) has a PhD in theoretical particle physics from the University of Heidelberg (research at the MPI for Nuclear Physics, 2009). Joined the MPIWG, where he started out as a member of the Quantum History Project (until 2012), his research interests lie in the history and philosophy of modern physics, with a strong emphasis on the postwar period.
