Funders
Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK)
Among other things, the SMWK funds projects that further develop and support higher education teaching in Saxony. At CODIP, projects with a focus on the digitization of higher education are regularly realized through this funding. The office of the E-Learning Working Group, which is partly located at CODIP, is also funded by the SMWKT.
European Social Fund (ESF)
The ESF is an instrument of the European Union (ESF) for the promotion of employment in Europe and supports labor market-related projects to improve education, qualification and employment at local, regional and national level. A large number of projects on the digitization of higher education and vocational training at CODIP have been made possible by this funding.
National funding
The BMBF regularly publishes funding guidelines, junior research groups and innovation competitions aimed at improving education and research in Germany. In these competitions, specific focal points are announced, such as the use of mobile technologies or artificial intelligence, special didactic scenarios such as self-directed learning, or with a specific research interest such as empirical educational research, in the context of which CODIP has already been able to acquire many successful projects.
Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB)
The BIBB is not only a project sponsor within the framework of BMBF calls for proposals, but also supports projects on vocational education and training from its own funds.
Horizon 2020
Horizon 2020 is the largest research and innovation program of the European Union. Within this framework, international collaborative projects with several European partners are funded. CODIP has already worked with partners from the United Kingdom, Greece, Slovenia, Austria and Poland.
Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is another EU program for education, training, youth and sport. It not only promotes the international mobility of students and researchers, but also the cooperation of educational institutions within the framework of the establishment of strategic partnerships. The CODIP realizes these partnerships with European as well as Asian institutions, e.g. in India, China or Cambodia.
