Climbing wall rules
- Use of the climbing facilities is only permitted with a valid participant pass and under the supervision of a course instructor.
- You are only entitled to use the climbing wall at the time stated on your participant pass. Beyond this, use is only possible with the consent of the responsible course instructor.
- The climbing walls can only be used in the top rope; climbing in the lead is only permitted as part of the course by the course instructor in exceptional cases (for this course date).
- It is secured with Smart, Tube or HMS. Mastery of these devices will be checked by the instructor in the first lesson. Other belay devices are permitted if the participant has demonstrated the safe use of the device to the instructor
- Only tie in with the figure of eight knot or double bulin and always directly into the rope.
- Partner check before each climb (partner must know the same knots and equipment) is mandatory.
- You may use your own liquid magnesia sparingly.
- Climbing and belaying barefoot or in street shoes is not permitted (hygiene, protection).
- Climbing shoes are only to be used for climbing. As soon as you leave the climbing wall, you must take them off!
- Long hair must be tied up.
- Climbing in the traverse is done without rope protection, if necessary, spotting is used.
- Before use, the climbing equipment and materials must be checked for safety and functionality by the course instructor.
- Participants are responsible for the safety and functionality of their own climbing equipment.
