NETWORK STUDIO "Color" inspires interdisciplinary ideas
Organized by the Research Promotion, the NETWORK STUDIO on the topic of "Color" took place on January 13, 2025, initiated by the Custody and researchers from the Architecture of TU Dresden. The event was opened by Angela Rösen-Wolff, Vice-Rector for Research, and Roswitha Böhm, Vice-Rector for University Culture. It brought together researchers from TU Dresden, the DRESDEN-concept Science and Innovation Campus, and the creative industries.
The goal was to explore the role of color in various scientific disciplines. Discussions focused on how color influences not only methods and content but also perception, art, and interdisciplinary research. The coffee breaks were used intensively to exchange perspectives and develop ideas for collaborative projects.
The diversity of disciplines led to an inspiring spectrum of approaches, which could literally be described as "colorful." Late into the afternoon, new ideas emerged with the potential to generate cross-disciplinary impulses.
The NETWORK STUDIO impressively demonstrated the fruitful nature of interdisciplinary exchange across subject boundaries – and the surprising connections the theme of color can create.
