Workshop on “Energy and sustainability at TU Dresden”
The workshop on “Energy and Sustainability at TU Dresden” took place on May 30, 2024 with the goal of advancing the connections of the TUD energy research strategy with the sustainability strategy aiming for the future development of an emerging field “Energy Systems”.
Organized and accompanied by Dr.-Ing. Nicolle Seifert (Project Scout ING) and Dr.-Ing. Anja Blüher (Research Management ING), there was an intensive exchange between the moderating members of the Vice-Rectorate, scientists and students at the topic tables 1. Strategy with a view to campus, mobility and sustainability, 2. Strategy with a view to energy research and 3. Teaching strategies, interdisciplinarity and Master's degree programs. This enabled a wide range of perspectives and opinions to be gathered on the topics of excellent energy research, modern teaching formats and content with the cross-cutting issues of sustainability, internationalization and interdisciplinarity. All participants attached great importance to transparent and comprehensible communication for the visibility of these topics. As a result, the common goal was formulated to identify and network intersections and existing competencies of different areas of the TUD in order to make an excellent contribution to the global Sustainable Goals (SDGs) through the further development of sustainable teaching and energy research at the TU Dresden.
A follow-up is planned for 2024. We are once again hoping for numerous participants for innovative contributions and discussions. For the planning of the next workshop, the previous contributions will be processed and analyzed. As soon as the final concept is available, the participants will be informed and invited. The group of participants will also be opened up to other people.
Thank you for your participation!
