Service
TU Dresden's Project Scouts offer a comprehensive and demand-orientated service around third-party funded projects. Researchers are faced with a whole range of questions in addition to searching for suitable funding formats, cooperation partners, checking draft proposals and many other things. TU Dresden's Project Scouts strive to provide the best possible assistance and are available as contact partners. You will find a summary of our services below.
We will search for potential funding options tailored specifically to your ideas and research projects. Every month we compile research news with current and new funding options. The research tool RESEARCHconnect is also available for independent search for funding. The database allows you to search by subject area, organisational form or qualification level. You can find a short guide in RESEARCHconnect - How to get started. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
We assist you with all questions concerning your application process.
- Do you need detailed information about a funding agency or an announcement?
- Would you like us to maintain contact with the project management and clarify any complicated issues on your behalf?
- Do you need help with the preparation of contracts?
- Do you have questions regarding the preparation of your application for external funding?
- Do you need assistance with text strategy or a revision of your draft proposal?
Whether German Research Foundation (DFG), Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) or foundations, we have experience with proposal structures, formal requirements and text strategic needs. We will be happy to revise your proposals under these aspects. Please contact the Project Scouts team in good time. If you have little or no experience with applications for third-party funding, one of our workshops could be of interest to you.
The Project Scouts are responsible for the administrative management of the research pool. The Research Pool is an offer for researchers employed at TU Dresden. It offers limited start-up funding for writing larger applications.
We work closely with other organisations of TU Dresden and are happy to help you in our function as guides and intermediaries. For programme-orientated EU projects, we refer you in good time to the European Project Center (EPC). Do you have to prepare a data management plan for your application? We will be happy to refer you to the Service Center Research Data. Does your project have transfer potential? We would be happy to put you in touch with the Transfer Office and, in the case of a spin-off, with dresden│exists. In our search for suitable partners, we are in contact with the institutions of DRESDEN-concept. Do you want to establish a project where partnerships with international universities and science regions should be strengthened? For this purpose, we will gladly refer you to the Unit International Affairs.
In cooperation with you, we design project-preparatory workshops/meetings and help with the organisation and implementation. If you wish, we can take over the presentation of meetings in the course of preparing applications for larger projects. Our experience has shown that it is particularly beneficial to place the presentation of the application initiation process in neutral hands, especially when it comes to strategic issues of the project consortium (e.g. the project budget).
In addition, the extensive programme STUDIO formats is available to you for project preparation. On request, we can plan events together to meet your ideas and requirements. With the STUDIO formats, we provide you with innovative event formats which you can use according to your requirements for the initiation of third-party funded projects.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or requests that you cannot find in our current portfolio.
