Regional Information Day Horizon 2020 - funding opportunities for Saxon actors in the field of information and communication technologies | Part 1

The European Project Center of the TU Dresden, the Cool Silicon e.V. and the Enterprise Europe Network Sachsen organize with support from the National Contact Point (NCP) ICT a Regional Information Day on the funding possibilites for ICT in the current framework programme for research and innovation Horizon 2020.
The event is mainly addressed at Saxon universities, research institutions and SMEs who are planning to submit an application or would like to gain more information on the funding programme Horizon 2020.
In the current work programme 2016/17 the application possibilities for the ICT-related topics 2017 have already been launched. An overview of all ICT relevant topics is available under www.nks-ikt.de/media/content/NKS-IKT_Themenblatt_2016-17.pdf.
The Regional Information Day will take place on Wednesday, 24 August 2016 and is divided into two parts:
- Part 1 - Target group: universities and research institutions
Start: 9:00 a.m.
Location: Großer Ratssaal (APB1004) of the faculty of computer science (TU Dresden), Nöthnitzer Strasse 46, 01187 Dresden - Part 2 - Target group: SMEs
Start: 1:00 p.m.
Location: TechnologieZentrumDresden GmbH, Gostritzer Str 61, 01217 Dresden
Topics of the event:
- Summary of the structure of Horizon 2020 and the terms and conditions
- Presentation of call for proposals and topics in 2017
- Experiences of successful applicants resp. experts
- Information on the SME instrument (only part 2)
- Presentation of the support offered by the European Project Center of TU Dresden (Part 1) and the Enterprise Europe Network (Part 2)

NB: Although this course is held in German, we kindly like to encourage English speaking scientists to participate.
If you are interested in a single or group discussion with the NCP ICT to discuss project ideas and concrete project proposals, please let us know with your registration until 10 August 2016. Please note that in the morning the number is limited to three consultations and in the afternoon on four discussions for 15 minutes each.
For interested stakedholders also the European "ICT Proposers' Day" is recommended, which will be held from the 26th-27th September 2016 in Bratislava. This event is a great opportunity to obtain details from the European Commission or to find potential project partners from Europe.
