Workshop
The workshop aims to support the participants in selecting doctoral candidates according to meaningful criteria and to provide them with excellent support.
- Which criteria make sense for the selection of doctoral candidates and
how can they be tested in the selection process? - How can one compare one's expectations and those of the doctoral candidates at the beginning of the doctoral process and make them transparent? How can a doctoral agreement be concluded based on expectations?
- How can the needs of the doctoral candidates in the doctoral process be identified to enable appropriate support?
- What does it mean that the doctorate is a learning process:
What should be learned, how can it be learned and who is responsible? - Maintain motivation - avoid demotivation: What is important from a motivational perspective for the supervision of doctoral students?
- Communication as a central element of support:
Giving and receiving feedback - how does that work? - Conflict management
- Intercultural and interdisciplinary challenges of supervision
- Evaluation of doctoral theses: How can criteria for grades be defined and how should coordination with other supervisors take place?
