8^th GA Writing Retreat

From 31st August to 5th September 2025, 22 members of the Graduate Academy and the Postdoc Center have the opportunity to attend our Writing Retreat at the St. Marienthal monastery. 

The Writing Retreat offers doctoral and postdoctoral researchers an opportunity to withdraw from the university's bustling daily routine and fully devote their time to writing academic texts such as their doctoral theses or research articles.

Program

A daily schedule structures your writing sessions. In addition, short input and writing advice, exchange in small groups, and individual sessions with a writing coach support you with your writing.

Costs

Participation in the writing retreat, overnight accommodation, and meals in St. Marienthal are free of charge for participants.

• Application form for the GA Writing Retreat (incl. a motivation letter and a provisional time and work plan for the Writing Retreat and/or an overview of the texts you are planning to work on)
• Declaration of support for GA writing retreat of the supervisor resp. direct superior
