Full medical check-up

In addition to the occupational health check-up to which you are entitled, you can also take advantage of the additional offer of a  holistic preventive care during our consultations.

We offer the following  components of the holistic preventive care:

• Laboratory test:
  • Standard blood count
  • Liver function readings (ASAT, ALAT, GGT)
  • Kidney function parameter (creatinine)
  • Blood lipids (cholesterol, HDL, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides)
  • Blood sugar
• Determination and evaluation of the body mass index
• Calculation of the PROCAM score (risk of heart attack)
• Vaccination consultation (please bring your vaccination certificate to the consultation appointment)
• Eye test
• medical consultation with examination

 
There are 2 appointments required for holistic preventive care:

• Blood sampling:         Monday or Tuesday between 8:15 and 8:30 am
• Medical consultation:            one week after the blood sampling 
                                                    Monday 2:00 pm or 2:45 pm and
                                                    Tuesday 1:00 pm or 1:45 pm

Bring with you:

Appointment 1 (blood sampling):     

• the medical history questionnaire sent to you or send it in advance by email (preferably encrypted) to

Appointment 2 (Consultation):         

• Vaccination certificate, and glasses or contact lenses (if needed)

To prepare for the appointment, we recommend that you first complete the work ability index questionnaire . This will help you to subjectively assess your current and future capacity to work. We would be happy to discuss the results with you and help you make improvements, if required. If you would like our help with this, please bring your answers and results to the consultation with you.

Excessive alcohol consumption can have a negative impact on your health. You can use this evaluation form to help you assess your relationship with alcohol. Likewise, we will be happy to offer you a confidential consultation on this topic and can inform you of opportunities for support. Simply raise the topic during your consultation!

Have you got questions about healthy eating? We would be happy to give you some tips in line with the German Society for Nutrition’s guidelines.

All services are free of charge for TUD staff and are considered working time.

The  holistic preventive care can be taken every 2 years.

We would like to emphasize that you do not need a form from your supervisor. Please also make use of the activity-related preventive occupational medical care.
