Call for applications: Eleonore-Trefftz-Program for women in science
TU Dresden is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Eleonore-Trefftz-Program, which strives to promote women on their way to full professorships.
Faculties and Central Academic Units have the oppotunity to invite excellent promising female scientists (postdocs or professors) to TU Dresden for 3 to 12 months. The female scientists can offer teaching programs, conduct independent research, network with their specialist community and thus get to know the TU Dresden as an attractive employer. They also serve as role models for academic careers of female students and scientists. As an instrument for the active recruitment of women, the Eleonore-Trefftz-Program is particularly aimed at faculties, in which appointments are planned in the medium term.
Applications can still be submitted up until October 15, 2023. More information is available here http://tu-dresden.de/trefftz.
Dr. Sandra Buchmüller came to Dresden in 2022 as a visiting professor of the Eleonore-Trefftz-Program. At TUD, she researched the topic of a conscious and non-stereotypical approach to aspects of gender and diversity in design research and development processes. Thanks to the program, she has become “more visible with the topics of gender, technology and feminist technology research at TU Dresden,” and is looking forward to the challenges that this brings.
