Also during the lecture-free period: open writing room and writing counselling for students
Together you write, read and research less alone! If you are working on a term paper, a document or your thesis during the lecture-free period, you can come to the Fritz-Förster-Bau every Tuesday to write, in addition to the writing consultation, of course. At the Writing Center, we also offer an open writing room for writing and working during the lecture-free period - with coffee, tea and cookies. Supported by the Writing Center, you can write or read texts here in a targeted manner: with a fixed workspace and the inspiring company of other students. A member of the Writing Center team is always available to answer questions and exchange ideas.
When? Every Tuesday in the 4th and 5th double period (13:00-16:20)
Where? In the Fritz-Förster-Bau, room 135 (until 30.07.), from 23.07.2024 room FOE 102 (see Campus Navigator)
Current information always in the OPAL course of the Writing Center under "Writing Room"
Why is that? The open writing room is perfect for immersing yourself in a productive atmosphere and pushing ahead with your writing projects. Let the creative energy motivate you and take the opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people. You can also drink and eat in the room; we provide coffee, tea and cookies. You can also chat quietly.
We cordially invite you to become part of our writing community. Come along and make your writing sessions a regular part of your semester schedule - we look forward to seeing you!
Important: Please bring your own writing project, as there will be no regular input from the Writing Center in the writing room. (Are you looking for input? Then take part in one or more of our workshops from the series on the basics of academic reading and writing in the coming semester).
Of course, you are also welcome to come to a writing consultation at any time to discuss your writing project in detail.
Sounds good? Then feel free to drop by! For all information and if you would like to reserve a workspace (you don't have to, but you can), take a look at the Writing Center's OPAL course under "Schreibraum".
