Continuing education series in the summer semester - How can I back up, organize, understand, retrieve and archive (my) data?
Data are an essential part of research and therefore invaluable to researchers. Systematic research data management offers support for the daily research practice and is a prerequisite for the reproducibility of scientific research as well as for the re-use of data in the context of good scientific practice.
To support researchers at TU Dresden in this respect, the Service Center Research Data in cooperation with the Graduate Academy offers trainings in the summer semester on this topic: "How do I manage my research data?".
In your daily research routine, have you ever asked yourself the following questions?
- What secure data storage and sharing infrastructure is available at the ZIH?
- How can I structure my data for easy retrieval?
- How can we as a team organize our data in an understandable way?
- How can I document my data and its history in a way that is comprehensible and easy to understand?
- How can I make my data easy to find and easy to re-use for myself and/or others?
- How do I describe the handling of my research data in grant applications?
If so, the training courses offered by the Service Center Research Data may provide possible solutions. The topics and dates are listed in this overview. You can register via the Graduate Academy or the Service Center Research Data (for more information please refer directly to the event).
