On 11th/12th November 2019, the international conference "Ambivalente Transformationen" will be held, organised by the Institut für Sächsische Geschichte und Volkskunde (ISGV), the Hannah-Arendt-Institut für Totalitarismusforschung (HAIT) and the Center for Integration Research (ZfI). This international conference applies itself from a transdisciplinary perspective to the changes in 1989 and beyond by looking at the consequences of the transformation process in Germany and its East-Central European neighbours, taking into account the simultaneous transformation of the West.
