digiDaZ:Pro – Digitale Lehr- und Lern-Konzepte für den DaZ-Unterricht
Since November 2020, the Donors' Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany has been funding the development project "Digital-gestütztes Lehren und Lernen in DaZ: Professionalisierung digitaler Kompetenzen in der DaZ-Lehrkräftebildung in der 1. und 3. Phase" (digiDaZ:Pro) - at the Centre for Integration Studies and in cooperation with the extension subject German as a Second Language (DaF professorship) at TU Dresden.
The starting point of the project was the first shutdown in the spring of this year: the interaction essential for language acquisition could not be realised with the necessary intensity and language diagnostics against the background of the nationwide school closures. DigiDaZ:Pro starts here and focuses on competences, concepts and tools of digitally-supported teaching and learning in the subject-specific context of DaZ teaching. The goals of the project are, on the one hand, the development of digitally-supported learning tools for students in DaZ acquisition and the establishment of digital infrastructures, and, on the other hand, the implementation of a teaching and further training concept for the 1st phase (student teachers) and 3rd phase (teachers) of teacher training with a focus on the development of digital competences and the use of digital concepts and tools.
The project, led by Dr Karoline Oehme-Jüngling (ZfI), Anke Börsel and Julia Welchering (both EF DaZ), is being supported in an initial funding phase as part of the Stifterverband's anniversary initiative "Wirkung hoch 100".
