School visit series draws to a close: Visit to the BSZ Zschopau

Since the beginning of the year, we have been visiting various vocational training centers as a professorship in order to engage in conversation, present the Professorship of Vocational Education and, above all, learn from the experiences of school administrators and teachers in order to carry out even more practice-oriented research and teaching at TU Dresden

Our last visit this year took us as part of our InnoVET-Kfz project to the BSZ 1 for economics, technology, social work and nutrition of the Erzgebirgskreis in Zschopau, where we had the opportunity to gain exciting insights into the implementation of automotive training on site.

In discussions with Mr. Müller, the principal of the BSZ, and Mr. Uhlig, a teacher in the automotive sector, the focus was on topics such as training processes, technical equipment, didactic approaches and the current challenges of vocational training. The expectations of our academic work were also discussed in depth.

The discussions about possible (further) cooperation opportunities, which we would like to explore further together, were particularly valuable.
