IKK-BA
IKK-BA - Additional qualifications for the promotion of intercultural competence (IKK) of students of the Berufsakademie (BA) Sachsen
Brief description:
Our world today is more exciting than ever. Economic, political and cultural globalization and increasing migration due to demographic developments are leading to a coming together of people from different backgrounds who will increasingly live, learn and work together in the future. This new cultural, linguistic and ethnic diversity offers many opportunities on the one hand, but also brings with it new challenges. The aim of the project is to promote understanding and respect between peoples and thus contribute to the process of growing together. Knowledge about other cultures and social-communicative skills such as empathy and tolerance of ambiguity are the key to personal and economic success.
In cooperation between the Staatliche Studienakademie Breitenbrunn and the TUD Dresden University of Technology, Chair for Didactics of Vocational Learning, an analysis of relevant target regions for the Saxon economy will be carried out as a first step. The cooperation between the two institutions will be supplemented by the expertise of another project partner, who is primarily an expert in the field of intercultural competence. The aim of the project is to develop, test, modify and evaluate a module on intercultural competence for students at BA Sachsen.
During the trial period, the "IKK" project is aimed at students on the Industry and Tourism Management and Social Work degree programs at the State Academy of Studies in Breitenbrunn. Once the module has been tested, the content will be made available to all areas of study at the Berufsakademie Sachsen.
