Symposium to present the commemorative publication to Dr. habil. Dieter Grottker
On Friday, 8 November 2024, the festive symposium took place on the occasion of the presentation of the commemorative publication in honour of Dr. habil. Hosted by the Chair of Adult Education, the event paid tribute to Dr. Grottker's outstanding academic contributions and special commitment in the field of historical and systematic vocational education and training.
An extensive program of scientific lectures as well as personal anecdotes formed the framework of the symposium.
The highlight of the symposium was the ceremonial presentation of the commemorative publication by the editor Prof. Dr. Sandra Bohlinger and the publisher Dr. Christian Müller. The commemorative publication, to which numerous colleagues, students and companions have contributed, reflects the breadth and depth of Dr. Grottker's academic work to date.

In his acknowledgements, Dr. Grottker emphasized the importance of the intellectual and socio-historical perspective for understanding vocational education and emphasized how important knowledge of historical contexts is for understanding today's vocational education.

Dieter Grottker on his honor and on the award of the commemorative publication and thank him for his many years of commitment, his inspiring contributions and his pleasant nature. The Chair would like to thank all participants who contributed to this special occasion through their contributions and presence.
