Internship
In § 102 LAPO I, a 12-month vocational internship is stipulated as a requirement for the first State Examination. The stipulation is does not apply if you have already completed vocational training in a relevant field.
We recommend completing an internship before studying, as this degree program has extensive practical components (in addition to the vocational internship, you must also complete two school placements and the school practical exercises during your studies). Completing an internship before studying can take some of the pressure off during your studies.
You will find all relevant information on vocational internships in the Vocational Internship Tips for teacher training students enrolled in State Examination degree program Teacher Training at Vocational Schools for the subject of Social Pedagogy.
Please ensure you have a signed contract with the institution hosting your internship before you start. You could use the following sample Internship Contract or this purpose.
You can use the following form to provide confirmation of your completed internship. We recommend asking the institution hosting your internship for a letter of reference.
