In-service teacher training (BQL) in the subject of economics, technology and home economics/social studies (WTH/S)
TU Dresden supports the qualification of teachers in the Free State of Saxony within the framework of in-service academic training. The focus of this qualification is the acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities in the subject science and subject didactics of the chosen subject or primary school didactics. The Teacher Qualification Regulations (LehrerQualiVO) form the legal basis of the training.
The training phase, which generally lasts two years, is carried out parallel to the participants' school work. The courses take place on two weekdays at TU Dresden and, except in the case of elementary school, follow the semester cycle of TU Dresden.
As part of the qualification measure in the subject WTH/S, participants acquire knowledge and skills in subject-specific science and subject-specific didactics.
The qualification is completed over a period of two years (four semesters), during which the participants are part of university life on two fixed days.
In lectures, seminars, internships and self-study, they acquire 74 credit points for Teacher Training - Middle Schools.
