Lateral Entry into Teacher Education (German abbreviation: BQL)
Second Career Qualification of Teachers (German abbreviation: BQL)
In this short video, some of the members of the lateral entry team of the continuing education program “Second-Career Qualification of Teachers” at TU Dresden introduce themselves.
TU Dresden supports the qualification of teaching staff in the Free State of Saxony within the framework of second-career scientific training. The focus of this qualification is on the acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities in the individual science and the individual didactics of the respective chosen subject or of elementary school didactics. The Teacher Qualification Regulations (QualiVO Lehrer) form the legal basis of the training.
The two-year continuing education phase is conducted parallel to the participants’ work at their schools. The courses take place on two weekdays (full-time) at TU Dresden and, except in the case of elementary school, follow the semester schedule of TU Dresden.
