On this page you will find information on the organization of the individual modules for which the Chair is responsible or for which the Chair offers corresponding courses. As a TU Dresden student, you can access the Chair's course offerings via the OPAL link.

Organization of the module
The module consists of a lecture with an associated compulsory tutorial and a seminar. In order to successfully complete the module, you must have passed the module examination. This consists of a written examination for the lecture (60 minutes) and an ungraded term paper of 50 hours. Lecture (+ tutorial) and seminar are offered in the winter and summer semester.
Contents of the module
The module covers the history and theory of schools and teaching, professionalism and skills development in the teaching profession as well as teaching quality and teaching videography against the background of the KMK standards for teacher training. It also includes the regional, national and international comparison of school performance and the presentation of approaches for heterogeneity-sensitive school and teaching development. You will also learn basic skills for planning, organizing and evaluating lessons.

Organization of the module
In order to be able to take part in block placement A, you must have attended the seminar in module EW-SEGY-BW2 and completed the associated examinations.
The module consists of an accompanying seminar, school practice lasting 4 weeks with a total of 80 attendance hours and an evaluation event. It is considered successfully completed if you have successfully passed the module examination (ungraded portfolio of 15 hours). The module is offered in the winter and summer semesters.
Internships are allocated centrally via the internship portal. Please note the corresponding periods for registration in the internship portal.
Contents of the module
The module includes the development of tasks in the teaching profession at the school as a place of learning and the individual school as a pedagogical unit of action. It includes observing, planning, implementing and evaluating initial lesson plans in the context of research-based learning and reflecting on students' career choices.

Contents of the module
The module includes concepts of diversity, selected special educational basics of schools as well as theories and practical experiences of barriers and mechanisms of exclusion in school education. It covers the legal and ethical foundations of inclusion in schools and working in (multi-professional) teams in the context of organizational, teaching and school development through the reflection and analysis of practical experiences.

The module consists of two seminars. In order to complete the module, you must have successfully passed the module examination. This consists of a seminar paper of 90 hours. The module is offered in the winter and summer semesters.
Contents of the module
The contents of the module are related to the areas of activity in the teaching profession and come from the subject areas of educational processes, educational systems, inclusion and dealing with heterogeneity, teaching, personnel and school development, methods of empirical educational research as well as media pedagogy and media didactics. Students have acquired basic knowledge of educational science theories, concepts and methods in relation to exemplary profession-oriented subject areas for individual profiling. They are able to implement and reflect on their knowledge in a theory-based and application-oriented manner and derive consequences for the design of teaching-learning situations and educational action.

Contents of the module
The seminar reconstructs the history of the teaching profession and embeds this 200-year professionalization process in the construction of a modern school system. In the course of the seminar, examples of current problems in the teaching profession and the school system in the Federal Republic of Germany will be presented. This is done against the background of empirical studies on the teaching profession and new legal frameworks for schools. The seminar thus discusses current educational science issues and literature with regard to the examination process for the state examination (Klausur).

Organization of the module
The supplementary studies comprise many different courses from a wide range of areas for individual specialization, profiling and preparation for the first state examination. These modules consist of elective content that allows students to choose their own individual focus.
