S. Jäger /C. Heinze: Criticism of punishment as 'activism'? Heinrich Stephani's concept of 'school discipline' in the discourse on punishment in the first half of the 19th century.
Stefanie Jäger and Carsten Heinze presented the results of the DFG project "Education and Vulnerability - Punishment in the Educational Dispositif of the 19th Century" at the annual conference of the Section for Historical Educational Research "Activism as an Object of Historical Educational Research" at the Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau. They reconstructed Heinrich Stephani's critical discourse on punishment and asked whether the critical initiatives on punishment in the 19th century can be interpreted as 'activism'.
