The core content of the Chair focuses on the reconstruction and critical reflection of the problem of under what conditions a social practice can be described as pedagogical and under what social conditions it is recognized or questioned in its logic.
In this context, it is important to examine the constitutive conditions of pedagogical knowledge in the disciplinary and social context and to analyze the pedagogical-anthropological framing of subject formation. Education, learning and socialization are understood as processes of subjectivation, through which a space of possibility is opened up in order to understand oneself as a subject and to be able to take action.
The critical observation of the social mediation of this process in pedagogical institutions, the question of the constitutive principles of a practice of pedagogical action that enables educators to act democratically, as well as the examination of the role of educational science in overcoming social challenges and conflicts are three essential aspects in this context.
