Student representatives
The interests of students in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences are represented by the Faculty's Faculty Student Council and the Student Council of TU Dresden .
The Faculty Student Council (FSRphil) is the basic body of student self-government at the faculty. All students of a student council, e.g. of a faculty or field of study, elect an FSR once a year. The election date is usually at the end of November. The most important task of the Faculty Student Council is to represent its own students and their interests within the faculty.
There are currently 20 students in the FSRphil who are committed to your interests. The tasks of the FSRphil include representing the student body on university committees, promoting university policy, social and cultural activities and advising students on study-related problems. The FSRphil has already organized numerous events in recent years: Panel discussions and student evenings, summer parties, soccer tournaments and, of course, the Freshers' Week at the beginning of each academic year. The FSR sends representatives to the various faculty committees to have a say in all important decisions. The FSR also has the opportunity to provide financial and organizational support for student projects and events.
In addition to participating in committees, such as the Institute Council or the study commissions, the FSR offers you numerous other opportunities to get involved and discover your talents: Organizing parties or demos, designing flyers or tinkering with the homepage. The FSR is the direct contact for all students with problems relating to their studies. So if you have any questions or ideas about what could be done better, just write an email to .
The Student Council (StuRa) represents the interests of all students at TU Dresden. The members of the StuRa are delegated by the individual FSRs. The StuRa takes care of student issues at the level of the entire university and should be one of the first points of contact for student problems. In addition, the StuRa offers a wide range of services such as advice or the use of photocopiers and much more.
