Study Documents
The study and examination regulations for the M.A. in Applied Media Research can be found on the website for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
The study and exam regulations are the two most important documents about the structure and general framework of the program. All students are expected to know the regulations well enough to be independently mindful of compliance with the established rules and deadlines. Should you have questions about individual aspects of the documents, please contact a academic advisor, who will be glad to help.
While the study regulations contain the goals of the program, the entrance requirements, the flow of the program (including length and starting date), the various forms of courses, as well as content and descriptions of the module, the examination regulations contain the legal conditions for taking an examination. Within, you can find, for example, general rules, deadlines, and appointments for taking an examination, which types of examination credits exist and how to go about selecting them, which guidelines exist for grades and weighting, and what happens in case of illness or failing the exam. It gives information for exchanging and recognizing study credits, applications for final papers, and many other important areas that are essential for a successful studies.
NOTE: Since Winter 2012/13, new study and examination regulations are in effect for the M.A. in Applied Media Research. They automatically apply for all students beginning their studies in Winter 2012/13 or later. For the focus areas, there will be a catalogue containing all available courses in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
