Important note for all exam candidates (BA + MA)

Dear students ,

Please note that your principle theses should thematically and methodically emerge from an attended lecture and ask a basal specialist and analytical level. A visit to the specialist Writing Workshop (Seminar) and the presentation of the concept in my exam Colloquium is mandatory for all exam candidates. Please report the theme of work by making an appointment via email to come to my office by the end of the previous semester, so you can be considered in the Colloquium planning .

Important note for all exam candidates (LA)

The chosen topic should be based on the main research areas of the chair or the examiners (Kaiserreich, WKI, WK II, Weimar Republic, gender history, history of emotions, history of violence).

It is desirable if the candidates attend preparatory events at the chair. After discussing topics during the office hours, a reading list should be included in preparation for the state examination

2 monographs,
6 journal articles (including 2 English-language titles)
a source must be submitted in writing four weeks prior to the exam date.
