Project presentation at MINSK museum

As part of the "Open Workshop" series at the Kunsthaus MINSK in Potsdam we were able to present our project on 03.07.2023. In the first part of the event, there was an introduction to the Art in Networks platform and a presentation of the research on artists' journeys during the GDR. Laura-Maria Schulze, master student at the Institute of Art and Music of the TUD, gave an insight into her interview with the artist Peter Westphal, who traveled to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1970. During the second half of the event, there was a roundtable duscussion talk with mail artist Thomas Schulz. He showed materials from his private archive which included visual travel diaries as well as notebooks that he exchanged by mail from the People's Republic of Poland with artists around the world who made collaborative creative contributions.
Museum visitors were invited to ask questions and provide feedback on the research project.
