Lena Geuer
Dr. Lena Geuer works as a Research Associate at the Institute for Art and Music at TU Dresden and teaches transcultural art history with a focus on modern and contemporary Latin American art. Together with Hauke Ohls, she coordinates the Transecologies Network and is its applicant. She completed her doctorate on the art of Argentina as part of the "Materiality and Production" research training group at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. In her habilitation project, she is investigating the concept of renunciation and its aesthetic significance at the interface of art and ecology. Together with Ömer Alkin, she edited the anthology Postcolonialism and Postmigration (2022). Her book Arte Argentino: Aesthetics and Identity Narratives in Argentinean Art. Selected Works by Marta Minujín and Luis Felipe Noé was published by transcript Verlag in 2022.
