Founded in the winter semester of 2020/2021, the Institute focuses on international law, particularly public international law and European law, intellectual property law, data protection and privacy law, environmental law and technology law. The Institute offers a wide range of degree programs for students seeking to pursue their undergraduate and/or postgraduate studies. Furthermore, doctorates (Dr. iur.) are supervised in their respective research areas by the Institute’s renowned professors.

The Institute offers a diverse selection of study programs and courses of study ranging from Master’s programs in business law or intellectual property law and data law to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in international relations at the Center for International Studies (ZIS) to the Master’s program „Politics and Constitution“ to the certificate course „Intellectual Property Rights“ to courses for students from other disciplines such as environmental law.
