Overview

the current price increases, the ongoing wave of refugees to Germany or the incidents of the past two pandemic years - events like these influence the opinions and attitudes of citizens to subsequent political decisions in very different ways. In this context, it is of great importance to scientifically examine the tension between the freedom of the individual in a democratic constitutional state and the need for security with current data.

In the project 'Security and Society' (SuG), the Chair conducts a mixed-mode survey. The survey is divided into a Germany-wide telephone sample and a Dresden-wide household survey. In Dresden we survey households in all parts of the city. The households were randomly selected from all households in the city of Dresden (Random Walk).
