New research associates: Dr. Christine Andrä and Stefan Schmitt
Since April and June 2020, the Chair of International Politics has two new research associates: Stefan Schmitt and Dr. Christine Andrä.
We are very happy about the enrichment!
After many years at the TU Dresden, Anselm Vogler became a research asssociate at the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy Hamburg (IFSH) in April. We miss him very much and congratulate him on his new position and wish him nice colleagues and exciting tasks!
Dr. Christine Andrä has been a research associate at the Chair since June. Prior to that she was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of International Politics at Aberystwyth University (UK), where she also completed her doctorate. She studied political science, social sciences and international studies/peace and conflict research in Tübingen, Frankfurt am Main and at the European University Institute in Florence. In her research, Christine Andrä focuses on international and domestic violent conflicts and the relationship between knowledge and international politics. Stefan Schmitt completed his Masters in International Relations at the TU Dresden and worked at the European Central Bank (ECB) for several years. During the last semesters he found his way back to TU Dresden as freelance lecturer and started as research associate at the Chair in April. He is also the advisor for the bachelor's program in political science.
