#27 The socializing project

We all read a lot between the years - entertaining and historical, exciting and biographical. We learned a lot, for example, about the so-called "Geselligkeitsprojekt" in Berlin around 1800, which dealt with salon culture - an early form of political adult education. The descriptions read like the event pages of a city magazine. See for yourself. We know that there are still political salons today, but when it comes to public events, we still seem to be lacking a bit of conviviality - or at least there's still room for improvement. The important thing seems to be: open and very lively meetings, lively debates, good drinks - and when it comes to that, music and dancing. We are ready.
