Erik Vollmann and Maik Herold hold TUD Lectures on civic protest and populism

Erik Vollmann, researcher at the Chair of Comparative Politics, and Dr. Maik Herold, MIDEM, are speakers of the TU Dresden Lectures on Wednesday, 26 July 2023, 6pm behind the Fritz-Förster-Bau. The lecture series highlights current research in the TUD community and in this summer term focuses on challenges to democracy.

The politicial scientist will speak on the issue of civic protests and populism with emphasis on Germany's eastern Länder. The input will focus on a recently published study by the think tank Das Progressive Zentrum on the so-called Montagsproteste in Chemnitz and Gera which was co-authored and supervised by Erik Vollmann.
