Expert opinion

It is often required for an application for an internship, a scholarship or a stay abroad - a reference from a university lecturer. If you require such a reference letter, please provide us with the following documents:

• Information about the matter to be promoted by the reference: type of scholarship, internship, study place, etc.
• If applicable: Forms to be completed for a standardized report
• Answers to W-questions: information on to whom and how (open or sealed) and in how many copies the report is to be sent and by when
• Curriculum vitae in tabular form with all information important for an accurate assessment of your person
• List of all university courses and grades in major and minor subjects, including grades ("overview of grades", "transcript of records")
• Copy of your high school diploma
• List of social, political, cultural or other activities that you are involved in outside your studies
• Description of the relevance of the matter for which an expert opinion is to be written with regard to the (educational) goal you are aiming for with your studies

Once you have collected these documents, please submit them by email or in person to the secretarial office or bring them with you to the consultation hours.

Please submit all documents to us at least 4 to 6 weeks before the deadline for submission of the reports. Please note that longer processing times may occur during the lecture-free period due to business trips, stays abroad or vacations.
