Chair of Political Science with a Focus on Political Theory and the History of Political Thought
The TUD political theory faculty research and teaching reflects the thematic diversity of political theory and spans the history of political thought as well as contemporary political theory and its relevance for critical practice globally. Particular focus is on normative political thought, modern political thought, international political theory, state theory, democratic theory, postcolonial and feminist theory. Emphasis is on the study of political ideas and values like justice, human rights and democracy not only in the West but also the non-Western world.
