Specific areas of research conducted by staff cover a range of different topics. These include the social, historical and culture prerequisites of constitutions as an institutional political order and the analysis of constitutional jurisdiction in the field of contention between constitutionalism and democracy. Further fields of research undertaken by the Chair focus on empirical analyses of political outrage movements such as Pegida and how they should be interpreted on a cultural scientific level.
