Prof. Dr. Sabine Müller-Mall leaves the Institute of Political Science
Prof. Dr. Sabine Müller-Mall will leave the Institute of Political Science at TU Dresden on October 1, 2025. Prof. Dr. Sabine Müller-Mall has held the Chair of Legal and Constitutional Studies with interdisciplinary Relations since summer 2014. Here, she researched fundamental questions of law and the constitution at the interface of law, political science and philosophy. Prof. Dr. Sabine Müller-Mall has shaped science and teaching at the TUD beyond the Institute. In her latest book"Verfassende Urteile" (Suhrkamp, 2023), she develops a theory of law, whick takes juridical judgment as the starting point of her analysis.
Her research interest in the relationship between law, politics and numerical, computer-based procedures (see, among others,"Freiheit und Kalkül", Reclam, 2020) now leads her to the Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, at the Center for Critical Computational Studies. Further information on her future research can be found on the C3 website: New Chairs at the Center for Critical Computational Studies.
Research Associates Dr. Johannes Haaf and PD Dr. Kolja Möller are also moving with her to Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.
For the Institute, the move from the von Gerber Building to August-Bebel-Straße is a new beginning. And at the same time, it is also a farewell to three esteemed colleagues.
We wish all three of them all the best and many wonderful experiences at Goethe University!
The replacement for the winter semester 2025/26 will be a familiar face:
Dr. Sabrina Zucca-Soest was already at TUD in the winter semester 2023/24 and will again take over the Chair as a substitute in the coming semester.
