Simon Meier-Vieracker

My research focuses on corpus linguistics, discourse linguistics and media linguistics. Within the framework of digital linguistics, I investigate communication in digital, especially social media in various social fields, using digital methods from corpus linguistics and text mining. The fields of application include the connections between language and politics, football and football fan cultures, scientific communication and language and medicine. In addition to my present-oriented research, I also pursue diachronic questions, especially those related to the history of communication.
