Publications and publications

In addition to the book "Marco Polo. Life and Legend", Prof. Münkler has published and edited a large number of other works. On this page you will find a brief compilation of the most important publications of recent years. This also includes anthologies and particularly high-quality qualification papers by her employees and doctoral students.

DFG project "Hagiography and preaching to the Turks"

The DFG project led by Prof. Dr. Marina Münkler and Dr. Antje Sablotny entitled "Protestant Hagiography and Turkish Sermons. The transformations of two leading genres of religious communication in the confessional invectives of the 16th century" has been funded by the German Research Foundation since October 2023.

SFB 1285 Invektivität TP E Sakralität und Sakrileg

Das Teilprojekt E des Sonderforschungsbereichs "Invektivität. Konstellationen und Dynamiken der Herabsetzung" untersucht die wechselseitigen Invektiven zwischen Vertretern der Reformation und Altgläubigen vom Beginn der Reformation bis zum Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts. Zentriert werden diese Untersuchungen auf drei Themenbereiche: Mönchtum, Heilige und Legenden sowie die Person Luthers mit den sich nach seinem Tod um ihn rankenden protestantischen Bekennerlegenden und den altgläubigen Antilegenden. Das theoretische Erkenntnisinteresse des Projekts richtet sich damit auf das strukturierende und das eskalative Potential von Invektivität.

Risikokommunikation und Risikonarrative

Forschen und Lernen im interdisziplinären Kontext: FLiK-Modul „Risiko“. Inhalte des FLiK-Moduls „Risiko“ unter Leitung von Prof. Marina Münkler sind die Risiko-Begriffe und -Bearbeitungsstrategien unterschiedlicher Disziplinen, die Abgrenzung zu verwandten Phänomenen (z.B. Gefahr) sowie die Interpretation „riskanter“ Konstellationen und der sich daraus ergebenden Problemzusammenhänge und Kommunikationsanlässe aus kultur-, politik-, medien-, umwelt-, natur- und wirtschaftswissenschaftlicher Perspektive.
