Studying at the Chair of DaZ/DaF

The courses offered by the DaZ/DaF working group form part of the BA programme in Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies, the MA programme in European Languages (EuroS), and the teacher training programmes in German (State Examination) run by the Institute of German Studies and Media Cultures and the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies.

The Chair also offers specific DaZ/DaF qualifications as part of the following degree and training programmes:

B) Erweiterungsfach Deutsch als Zweitsprache (Lehramt) / Extension subject German as a Second Language (teacher training)

Master EuroS special­ising in German as a Foreign and Second Language

The Master’s programme in European Languages (EuroS) is an interdisciplinary linguistics programme offered by the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies. German as a Foreign and Second Language can be chosen as a specialisation.

Extension subject German as a Second Language (EF DaZ)

The extension subject ‘German as a Second Language’ (EF DaZ) is a supplementary course of study offered as part of TU Dresden’s continuing professional development programme for teacher training students and teachers currently completing their teaching practice (Vorbereitungsdienst) or already working in schools, across all levels of education (Grundschule, Oberschule, Gymnasium, berufsbildende Schulen) and school subjects.

Certificate programme „German in the Context of Multilin­gualism“

The certificate programme is a continuing professional development course offered by TU Dresden and is aimed at students and graduates. The aim is to develop comprehensive DaZ (German as a Second Language) skills for dealing with multilingualism in adult education for newly arrived young people and adults with little or no knowledge of German.
