About me
As a linguist, I focus on the particularities of the German language in its development and use. My interests focus on construction-grammatical approaches to contemporary language, indexing and machine analysis in the context of digital humanities, discourse- and domain-specific communication in the past and present, functional and regional varieties as well as topics of applied linguistics.
I follow the principles of the open access community in my teaching and research and am committed to the establishment of open educational resources (OER). I pay particular attention to collaborative forms of work and making the interlinking of research and teaching visible.
Since January 2025, I have held the office of Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies (SLK), after having held the office of Dean of Studies of the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies (SLK) between 2019 and 2025 and also the office of Chairperson of the Examination Committee since September 2020. I will continue to hold these offices beyond 2025 for the Master's degree program in Digital Humanities (since December 2021). Since the end of September 2022, I have been the second chair of the Gesellschaft für Germanistische Sprachgeschichte (GGSG) (first chair from 2018 to 2022). I am also pleased to be able to support the cooperation between TU Dresden and Dresden University School as a member of the Board of Directors of the University School Research Center (ForUS).
