New Release: Fragility: Outlines of a Semantics

Wallstein Verlag has published the volume *Fragility: Contours of a Semantics*, edited by Lars Koch, Maren Lickhardt, and Matthias Schaffrick. The volume explores why contemporary phenomena so often describe themselves as fragile. It traces “fragile” as a semantic concept in societal self-description and, at the same time, as an aesthetic resource in literature, film, theater, and performance. The publication was supported by the Chair and the Department of German Studies at the University of Siegen.
