Materials
Here you will find documents, downloads and links relevant to your studies and exams.
Information on the Chair's reference library: All books can be found in the SLUB catalog. Our books at our Chair's location are mainly used regularly by the staff themselves as a reference library. Therefore, we only lend books for a maximum of one day for copying or scanning. Please contact Ms. Angelika Gleisberg (secretary's office) with your request. You will be informed by her or the member of staff when the book will be available for you to borrow for one day. If you wish to borrow a book, please bring your completed and signed loan slip with you.
The materials for the current lectures and seminars are stored in the OPAL system.
Please discuss all written assignments with the lecturers of your seminar beforehand! Please also adhere to the general and formal guidelines (see above) of the Chair (e.g. references in footnotes instead of in brackets in the text). Written papers must be submitted as a PDF and printed out; a paper clip or a simple cardboard stapler is sufficient (please do not use a plastic stapler).
Zotero
If you use Zotero for your literature management, you can download the Chair's citation style from the Zotero Style Repository.
Theses at the Chair
Please also observe the formalities for final theses (see above) as they are specified for term papers.
Information from the Joint Academic Examination Office Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science on Bachelor's and Master's theses
Bachelor's theses should not exceed 40 pages of continuous text, Master's theses should not exceed 70 pages of continuous text. Binding is required, but the simplest is sufficient (i.e. no hardcover!) and you do not need embossing.
Student advisory service
If you have any questions about modules, your degree programs or degrees, you can contact the student advisor, Dr. Albrecht Dröse.
You may also find the FAQs for the BA and MA degree programs in Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies or the website of the Teacher Training Office and the Opal page of the German Studies Advisory Service (registration with TU access required) helpful. There you will find, for example, overview plans with module and examination numbers and the study and examination regulations broken down by degree program or information on supplementary areas and AQua or appointments with the student advisor Dr. Dröse.
